Our work involves building primary research on South African business sectors, drawn from conversations with founders, operators, investors, and ecosystem players rather than from secondary sources and existing reports. We have published sector intelligence covering more than 50 companies across fintech, insurtech, healthtech, cleantech, logistics, and the broader SA ecosystem.

What we are offering is a focused market intelligence engagement drawn from the same methodology we use in our published and client reports. We will take the time to understand your sector and competitive environment, talk through what the market looks like from your position, and produce a short written intelligence report. The output covers the competitive landscape you are operating in, the key market dynamics shaping it, and one or two strategic implications specific to your business.

The engagement involves one to three conversations and is delivered within two to three weeks. There is no invoice at the end of it.

We ask for permission to document this engagement as a case study published on the BLEC website, showing how our Ground Level Intelligence methodology works in practice. The case study will be anonymised or named depending on what you prefer, and nothing goes live without your approval of the final content. The second thing we ask is that if you found the work genuinely valuable, you are willing to have a short honest conversation about whether there is anyone in your network facing similar intelligence challenges who might benefit from BLEC’s paid services. That is the full extent of the ask. No obligation beyond that.
